Fabric from Natural, Polyester or other Synthetic fibers, which is better?
Many consumers have no idea what's the difference between these 2 fabrics? We'll find out together!
Polyester fabric or Synthetic fiber - has so many properties, including stretchy, wrinkle-free and quick-dries. There are many fabric types with different names based on their structure and they can be used for various purposes, including fashionable clothing, sportswear, winterwear, fabric for decorations, toys, and even blankets.
Fabric from Natural fiber - including cellulose fiber like cotton, linen, hemp or bamboo, all has an affordable price. Another natural fiber is a protein fiber such as silk and wool, which is quite expensive, good breathable but not stretchable, wrinkled easily, and unsuitable for long-term use.
Polyester fabric has a different texture. For example:
Cotton lookalike - fluffy texture similar to cotton but has a lightweight and quick-dries called Single Jersey, Interlock, etc.
Pique - very popular for a polo shirt and uniform, including Micro Pique and Tricot Fancy.
Mesh - used in many applications like sportswear, bag lining, cloth lining, laundry bag or special micro mesh in premium clothing.
French Terry - mainly used for jackets and sweatpants. A micro-texture provides a smooth surface on 1 side and fuzzy looks on the other.
Fleece - is similar to the cotton fleece fabric. Fleece fabric has single and double sides brushed, commonly used in jackets, sweatpants, winterwear, blankets and other fluffy products.
Pile Fabric - Polyester fabric has various kinds of the pile, including Poly Boa, Flannel, Sherpa or faux fur, which exactly looks like sheep fur. They are usually in clothing and blankets products.
As a result, it depends on the usage. Some
applications must be Natural fiber and some should be Polyester fiber. If
