What is Tricot
Fabric?
The word "Tricot" is derived from the French language "Tricoter", which means "Knit." A Warp Knitting machine produces tricot fabric that provides an excellent wrinkle and snagging resistance.
Tricot Fabric is usually make sportswear because the fabric is breathable and doesn't build up a static charge.
It also doesn't cling to the body while providing comfort and support through 4-way stretching in crosswise and longwise directions which is good for any movements.

Technique
Warp Knitting Technique is when loops are knitted continuously in a vertical direction, causing the knitting process much faster. Warp Knitting is different from knitting in the horizontal direction, called the Weft Knitting technique, in terms of structure.
Warp Knitting structure is also similar to the woven fabric, making it durable and good shape retention.

Caring for Tricot Fabric is not complicated. Tricot is soft, wrinkle-resistant and incredibly quick-drying. You don't have to worry about molds and moisture. Just leave it dry in the normal temperature room.
One of the best things about Tricot is its shape-retaining properties and snagging resistance. It's stronger than other knit fabrics.
What is the level of comfort and breathability of Tricot Fabric?
Tricot Fabric is breathable even if it's made of polyester. This is because of its structure. The little gaps between the threads let the air and moisture escape. Therefore, it is comfortable for everyday use and you can wear it as casual wear.

Tricot Half
As motioned above, Tricot uses a warp knitted method. It is characterized by fine, vertical wales on the surface and crosswise ribs on the back. Both sides are plain and smooth, which is suitable for laminating.This fabric is not flexible, so its shape remains the same after folding.
The excellent recovery makes it in high demand in the apparel market. Tricot knit is usually used for sportswear and jackets.

Tricot Brush
Tricot Brush in the finishing process, the brushes or other abrading devices are utilized to raise the fiber into the fabric. Raising a nap produces a fuzzy or downy surface, which is why the Tricot brush has a softer feel. Typically, Tricot Brush Fabric is made of polyester fiber. It can blend with a natural fiber like cotton to produce special properties.
Primarily Tricot Brush is generally manufactured for sportswear such as sweatpants, jackets, and tracksuits. It's sometimes applied to produce a bag lining. Moreover, it is used for sewn fabric dunnage. Tricot or napped fabric can be laminated to vinyl for reinforcement. However, some prefer it as plain fabric for tensile strength.
